Pay: $45,000 – $50,000 annually

About the DTL Fuel Driver Position:

Superior Fuel Company is looking for aDTL Fuel Driverto join our team in the Two Harbors, MN area. In this unique role, you’ll provide fueling services to locomotives and large shipping vessels, ensuring the smooth operation of the industries that rely on these massive machines to keep moving forward.

This position offers the opportunity to work in an exciting, dynamic environment, servicing some of the largest and most powerful transportation systems in the world. You’ll be an essential part of the transportation infrastructure, and your work will have a direct impact on the success of your clients.

What You’ll Do: As a DTL driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering fuel directly to locomotives and boats in the Two Harbors area. The ideal candidate will have a Class B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, be flexible with their schedule, and live near Two Harbors. The typical schedule is 3 days on and 3 days off where the candidate should be available to report to the fueling site to provide fueling services for any boats or trains during their 3 days.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Transport and deliver fuel directly to boats and locomotives in the Two Harbors area.
  • Ensure timely and safe deliveries while complying with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Operate trucks with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, following all safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and any discrepancies.
  • Perform regular checks and maintenance on the truck to ensure safe operation.
  • Be available for on-call duty as per a rotating schedule to accommodate fueling needs of boats and trains, with flexibility for different work hours.
  • Follow all safety protocols when handling and transporting hazardous materials.
  • Class B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements (required).
  • Must live within proximity to Two Harbors, MN.
  • Must be able to work on-call shifts as part of a rotating schedule.
  • Previous experience in driving tanker trucks or handling hazardous materials is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Education: High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.

License/Certification:

  • CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements (Required)

Shift:

  • Rotating On-Call, varying.
