Senior Accountant

A growing energy and industrial services organization in Central Oregon is seeking a Senior Accountant to support accelerated close cycles, strengthen reporting processes, and drive continuous improvement across accounting operations. This role will work closely with the Controller and Shared Services team and will play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, enhancing internal controls, and supporting business growth.

• Own and support accurate, timely month‑end close processes
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate reporting, and improve close efficiency
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses
• Review financial results and trends; investigate and resolve variances or unusual items
• Manage general ledger activity, including intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Support accurate monthly billing and assist with job costing and project reporting
• Partner with the Controller on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Help establish and maintain appropriate internal controls and accounting procedures
• Participate in internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation
• Provide guidance and informal mentoring to accounting team members
• Ensure accounting practices comply with GAAP and internal policies
• Produce ad hoc reporting and support special projects as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience within field services, construction, manufacturing, or project‑based environments
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation
• Experience with month‑end close, reconciliations, and general ledger management
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Exposure to revenue recognition and percentage‑of‑completion (POC) accounting strongly preferred
• Experience working with ERP systems;
  Quick Books exposure a plus
• ERP implementation experience is a plus
• CPA, CMA, or public accounting background welcomed but not required
