• Oversee the monthly close process to ensure all deadlines are consistently met.
• Review and verify journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accuracy.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements while investigating and explaining variances.
• Manage work‑in‑progress schedules, including cost‑to‑complete calculations and job performance tracking.
• Collaborate with project managers to validate job costs and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure consistency in accounts payable coding and address complex vendor issues.
• Identify operational process gaps and implement effective improvements.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure audit readiness.
• Provide support for payroll‑related accounting and allocation processes.
• Apply analytical and problem‑solving skills to consistently take ownership and drive results.

• Possess 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the construction industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience; CPA certification preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing the month‑end close process.
• Strong proficiency in work‑in‑progress and job costing.
• Advanced skills with digital tools such as Excel, Google Chat, Zoom, and Gmail.
