Purchasing Coordinator

The Purchasing Coordinator is an integral member of the purchasing department to support the day-to-day functions of the Purchasing Department and Field Team to ensure on-time builds. They are responsible for ensuring that each job start is handed off from the back office to the field with complete accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Assembling, coordinating, and managing all needed documents, such as site plans, plans, color selections, and files from internal and external assets, to ensure on-time permit submission and permit issuance.
  • Holding people accountable to their deadlines, requiring excellence of myself, leading by example, and requiring excellence from others.
  • Entering the details of the job into our software system promptly, such as addresses, permit numbers, temp power numbers, etc.
  • Generating and distributing POs in accordance with build schedules, ensuring they match the approved job budget provided by the Lead Coordinator.
  • Reviewing and updating PO's as needed, related to Change Orders, Vendor Changes, or Price Changes.
  • Facilitating the collection of all onboarding documents (COIs, MSAs) and ensuring they are uploaded to the system for the Lead Purchasing Coordinator's final verification.
  • Entering the permit and start in Mark Systems with 100% accuracy.
  • Being fanatic about response time regarding field requests.
  • Owning the digital filing system for all Purchasing documents.
Qualifications
  • Two years of experience in purchasing, preferably in production residential housing and/or commercial construction.
  • Understanding pricing and the impact on capital.
  • Possessing excellent relationship and communication skills.
  • Presenting a positive image for the company, being a win-win thinker, and a good negotiator.
  • Being creative and innovative, and respectful of co-workers, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
