The Medicare Business Performance Strategist serves as a strategic execution and business operations partner to the Vice President of Medicare. This role is responsible for supporting the successful execution of Medicare priorities through business planning, performance management, operational coordination, and cross-functional leadership. The Strategist helps translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, ensures visibility into business performance, and facilitates alignment across the Medicare organization and enterprise partners.
This role supports leadership decision-making through performance monitoring, executive reporting, initiative governance, and operational oversight. Medicare Business Operations Strategist focuses on strategy execution, operational effectiveness, business performance, leadership alignment, and accountability for organizational priorities.
- Partner with the Vice President of Medicare to support execution of strategic and operational priorities.
- Coordinate annual business planning, goal setting, strategic initiatives, and operational work plans.
- Support implementation of Medicare business strategies by facilitating alignment across departments and stakeholders.
- Monitor progress against strategic objectives and elevate risks, barriers, and dependencies as appropriate.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, organizational alignment, and business performance.
- Support Medicare business performance oversight through development and maintenance of dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting.
- Monitor key operational, financial, membership, and performance indicators and provide insights to leadership.
- Support Medicare P&L management activities through data analysis, performance tracking, and reporting.
- Assist with annual budget development, budget monitoring, forecasting, and multi-year business planning activities in partnership with Finance and Medicare leadership.
- Coordinate periodic business reviews and performance discussions with leadership teams.
- Facilitate the operating rhythm of the Medicare leadership team, including meeting planning, agenda development, documentation of decisions, action item tracking, and follow-up.
- Support Medicare Run-the-Business meetings, leadership team meetings, business reviews, and other strategic forums.
- Ensure visibility and accountability for organizational commitments, priorities and initiatives.
- Develop executive-level communications, briefing materials, presentations, reports and leadership updates.
- Prepare materials supporting executive decision-making and strategic discussions.
- Coordinate high-priority initiatives sponsored by the Vice President of Medicare.
- Track initiative milestones, timelines, risks, dependencies, resource needs and outcomes.
- Work with leaders across the organization to ensure effective execution of Medicare priorities.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving to remove barriers and accelerate progress.
- Support implementation of organizational changes, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Medicare leaders and enterprise partners.
- Coordinate activities across departments to ensure alignment with Medicare business objectives.
- Support communication and change-management efforts related to strategic initiatives and operational priorities.
- Represent the Vice President of Medicare in internal meetings, committees, and work groups as assigned.
- Serve as a trusted resource and strategic partner to Medicare leadership.
- Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.
- Follow the Pacific Source privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.

- Work Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare, Medicare strategy, business operations, strategic planning, project management, or closely related field.
