News Producer - KTVZ News at Sunrise

Overview

KTVZ News is looking for a highly motivated, creative News Producer.

This position will be responsible for producing our top‑rated morning newscast, KTVZ News at Sunrise.

Produce and edit the morning newscast, collaborating closely with the newsroom team to ensure content is engaging, accurate and hyper‑local.

Plan and gather story material, working with reporters, producers and editors to build a meaningful narrative for viewers.

Utilize non‑linear editing techniques and enterprise storytelling tools; familiarity with Inception is a plus.

Show strong time‑management and problem‑solving skills; be highly organized, creative and capable of meeting tight deadlines.

Pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen.

Maintain a valid Oregon driver’s license (or ability to obtain one) to operate news vehicles; this role does not involve on‑air reporting.

• Journalistic experience with strong content planning and news gathering skills.
• Experience with non‑linear editing and enterprise storytelling.
• Effective time management, organization, creativity, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Valid Oregon driver’s license or willingness to obtain one.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
