Instructor Pool - 2025/2026 and Fall Term 2026:
Tourism, Recreation, Adventure Leadership

The Tourism, Recreation & Adventure Leadership Program at OSU‑Cascades in Bend, Oregon invites applications for one or more fixed‑term, non‑tenure‑track full/part‑time Instructor positions to teach on a term‑by‑term basis for the 2025‑2026 academic year and Fall Term 2026. Positions may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional role at the discretion of the Dean of Academic Affairs.

Instructors will teach undergraduate courses in Tourism, Recreation & Adventure Leadership on campus in Bend, Oregon. Anticipated start dates for term appointments are September 16, 2025, December 16, 2025, or March 16, 2026.

• Administer and teach courses term‑by‑term in Tourism, Recreation & Adventure Leadership (95% of the role).
• Complete course assessment processes and continuously improve teaching effectiveness. Some courses may require driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university.
• Participate in advising and mentoring students: advise students, hold office hours, complete record‑keeping and minor administrative tasks (5% of the role).

What You Will Need

• Master’s Degree in Tourism, Recreation or Adventure Leadership (or a related field) is required.
• Minimum of 3 professional references with contact information.
• Must be able to drive a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; successful motor vehicle history check and a current, valid driver’s license in the applicant’s state of residence are required.

What We Would Like You to Have

• Ph.D. or terminal degree in a relevant field.
• Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and a strong commitment to undergraduate education and equity.
• Demonstrated ability to design, teach and assess courses that support inclusive learning principles and promote equitable teaching practices.

Work schedule may vary depending on student needs and engagement in campus and/or program activities.
