Instructor Pool – 2025/2026 and Fall Term 2026:
Political Science Position Summary

The Social Sciences Program at OSU – Cascades in Bend, Oregon invites applications for one or more fixed‑term, non‑tenure‑track instructor positions in Political Science for the 2025‑2026 academic year and Fall Term 2026. Appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to a longer‑term instructional position at the discretion of the Dean of Academic Affairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate course(s) in Political Science on a term‑by‑term basis.
  • Complete course assessment processes and continuously improve teaching effectiveness.
  • Advise students, hold office hours, and perform minor administrative tasks related to student records.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Political Science or a related field.
  • Valid teaching record in the higher‑education context.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD or terminal degree in Political Science or a related field.
  • Strong commitment to undergraduate education, equity, and student service.
