Instructor Pool - 2025/2026 and Fall Term 2026:

Applications will be considered throughout the 2025–2026 Academic Year and Fall Term 2026, as opportunities become available.
Job Summary: The Social Sciences Program at OSU‑Cascades invites applications for fixed‑term, non‑tenure‑track Instructor positions to teach on a term‑by‑term basis for the 2025‑2026 academic year and Fall Term 2026. This appointment is located in Bend, Oregon, and may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Dean of Academic Affairs.
These instructors are expected to provide undergraduate level education, support critical thinking, and serve students in degree programs. The anticipated start dates for term appointments are September 16, 2025;
December 16, 2025;
March 16, 2026; or September 16, 2026.
- Teaching courses term‑by‑term in Anthropology (95% of time).
- Completing course assessment processes and continuously improving teaching effectiveness.
- Advising and mentoring students, holding office hours, and performing record‑keeping and minor administrative tasks (5% of time).
Master’s degree in Anthropology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
What We Would Like You to Have- PhD or terminal degree in Anthropology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Teaching experience at the college or university level, with a strong commitment to undergraduate education, equity, and student service.
