Position Summary- The Office of Student Life enhances the mission of OSU – Cascades by its own mission of
A) social change agents and social responsibility,
B) empowering students to engage in challenge and discovery, and
C) implementing programs and framework that are student informed. - Student Activities comprises a group of students who plan campus-wide events and support Recognized Student Organizations. We encourage students to participate in events and clubs as a way to make friends, develop skills, and create memories outside of the classroom. Programming Coordinators are responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various small- and large-scale events throughout the year.
- This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part‑time Marketing Coordinator position for the academic year.
- This position will work 15 hours per week at $17.30/hour. Training begins Tuesday, September 8th.
- Hours during the year include Week 0‑10 during Fall term, Week 1‑10 during Winter term and Week 1‑Finals week Spring term.
- Required events:
Saturday, September 19th – move‑in event (evening);
Sunday, September 20th – SSC Takeover (evening). - This position is located in Bend, Oregon.

- Develop communication plan for Student Activities overall, including consistent engagement with the OSU community and assessment analysis of feedback.
- Curate graphics, text copy, social media posts and website content for Student Activities digital assets.
- With support of supervisor, respond and/or triage Student Activities communications, including email and DMs.
- Meet one‑on‑one with Student Activities Program Coordinators to determine promotion needs and deliverable deadlines for Student Activities events and develop communication plans for every event being put on for Student Activities.
- Meet one‑on‑one with Recognized Student Organization officers to consult on promotion and marketing needs and either assist or refer for solutions when possible.
- For major Student Activities events, serve as primary contact and facilitator for Student Life, including submission of design requests and meeting facilitation (when appropriate).
- General Event Support (20%)
- Attend and support Student and other Student Life events as needed.
- Photograph (or arrange for photography at) Student Activities events when needed.
- Actively post and engage the OSU community through Student Activities and Student Life social media platforms during events.
- Assist in the attendance and/or ticketing process for events, including sales, deposits, and tracking payments.
