Position Summary
- The Office of Student Life enhances the mission of OSU
-Cascades by its own mission of
A) social change agents and social responsibility,
B) empowering students to engage in challenge and discovery, and
C) implementing programs and framework that are student informed. - Student Activities comprises a group of students who plan campus-wide events and support Recognized Student Organizations. We encourage students to participate in events and clubs as a way to make friends, develop skills, and create memories outside of the classroom. Club Coordinators are responsible for training club officers, approving and maintaining the RSO Grant process.
- This recruitment will be used to fill three (3) part-time Club Coordinator positions for the academic year.
- This position will work 15 hours per week at $17.30/hour. Training begins Tuesday, September 8th.
- Hours during the year include Week 0-10 during Fall term, Week 1-10 during Winter term and Week 1-Finals week Spring term.
- Required events:
Saturday, September 19th – move in event (evening), Sunday, September 20th – SSC Takeover (evening). - This position is located in Bend, Oregon.

Position Duties
- Club Processes and Support (60%)
- Explain university and department procedures to students for both new and continuing clubs through individual meetings, info sessions, and/or club officer retreat.
- Facilitate update discussions with club officers twice a term (Club Officer Meet-ups).
- Approve and administer grant process via forms, MS Excel tracker, and email communication.
- Manage meeting and group notes to monitor the success of the club coordinator program and report to.
- Advise student leaders, members, officers, & advisors in utilizing Bend Beavs Central (OSU‑Cascades’ online involvement hub).
- Assess and evaluate Student Activities events, including club activity reports, grant requests, and make recommendations.
- Administrative Responsibilities (25%)
- Collaborate with the Student Activities team to set and accomplish goals for the organization.
- Demonstrate dependability by maintaining regular office hours.
- Actively engage with students, faculty, staff, and visitors utilizing clear and welcoming written and verbal communication skills on the phone, in emails, and in person.
- Attend Student Activities staff meetings and engage in ongoing training, professional development, and community building.
- Support the development and maintenance of educational tools, trainings and tutorials.
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Planner to communicate and achieve team goals.
