Instructor Pool - 2025/2026 and Fall Term 2026:
Art & Art Media Technology Position Summary

The Art Program at OSU‑Cascades invites applications for one or more fixed‑term, non‑tenure‑track Instructor positions to teach on a term‑by‑term basis during the 2025‑2026 academic year and Fall Term 2026. The role may be reviewed for renewal or transition to a longer appointment at the discretion of the Dean of Academic Affairs. The position will be based in Bend, Oregon.

Instructors may be required to teach campus undergraduate courses in Art or Art Media Technology. Anticipated start dates include September 16 2025, December 16 2025, March 16 2026, or September 16 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and teach course(s) term‑by‑term in the disciplines of Art or Art Media Technology.
  • Complete course assessment processes and continually improve teaching effectiveness.
  • Advise students, hold office hours, complete record‑keeping, and perform minor administrative tasks.
Qualifications

Required:

Master’s degree in Fine Arts (or a related field).

Preferred:
PhD or terminal degree in a related field; college or university‑level teaching experience; demonstrated ability to design, teach, and assess courses that support inclusive learning principles and promote equitable teaching practices.
