Job Description

The evaluation teacher leader position provides support and assistance toward meeting the performance plan goals at the assigned school. The role focuses on personal strengths and collaboration with the principal and building teams, with opportunities for leadership skill development.

Each building will hire 1 evaluation teacher leader for the 2026‑2027 school year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a member of the principal’s school leadership team.
  • Create a positive school culture.
  • Participate in systemic change and transformation initiatives to improve student achievement.
  • Attend leadership development opportunities such as CLT planning, curriculum implementation, and Equity Collaborative.
  • Communicate with colleagues and stakeholders about school leadership meetings and performance plan goals.
  • Plan, support, and track Community Learning Team (CLT) work, including assessments, calendars, and data.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and events outside the regular contract day at the school and district level.
  • Report team progress to the overseeing administrator and provide data for the school scorecard and SLGs.
  • Assist with school‑based initiatives (RTI, CLT activities, scorecard, instructional practices, attendance, PBIS).
  • Participate in 1.5 days of on‑site training in August to prepare for in‑service week.
  • Take part in the District Equity Collaborative.
  • Partner with the principal to ensure licensed employees understand standards of professional practice.
  • Support colleagues with navigation and use of TED.
  • Contribute to district evaluation team discussions and plans to enhance RSD educator effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong depth of knowledge in instructional practice and teaching strategies.
  • Commitment to collaborative learning teams that support all students.
  • Commitment to equitable practices in the classroom.
  • Professional reflection and continuous growth.
  • Positive leadership skills and abilities.
  • Technical proficiency with Google Apps for Education and Canvas.
  • Organizational skills and reliable teamwork.
  • Creative problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to facilitate small groups.
  • Valid Oregon Teaching License.
Circumstances and Recurring Hours

• Monthly leadership meetings: ~3 occurrences per month (up to 30 hours total).

• August training and planning sessions: 4‑hour Building Leadership Meeting (TBD) and 4‑hour Partners in Practice (dates to be announced).

• Five 1.5‑hour after‑school CLT meetings.

Compensation

The stipend begins on the October paycheck.

Position Type: Extra‑Duty
Stipend: $1,876 to $1,989
