OSU – Cascades in Bend, Oregon invites applications for one or more fixed‑term, non‑tenure‑track full‑time or part‑time Instructor positions to teach on a term‑by‑term basis for the 2025‑2026 academic year and Fall Term 2026. Some appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instruction position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Senior Associate Dean. Applications will be considered throughout the 2025–2026 academic year and Fall Term 2026, as opportunities become available.
This position is located in Bend, Oregon. Instructors may be needed to teach on‑campus undergraduate courses in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Nutrition & Public Health. If hired into a term appointment, the anticipated start dates are September 16, 2025, December 16, 2025, March 16, 2026, or September 16, 2026.
The Kinesiology Program provides undergraduate education in core fields. The role is designed to foster critical thinking, advance student knowledge and skills, and provide an intellectual foundation for students in the discipline. The instructor will deliver courses in the program and may be asked to teach courses you signal readiness for in your cover letter.
Key Responsibilities95% – Administer and teach course(s) term‑by‑term in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Nutrition & Public Health. Complete course assessment processes and continuously improve teaching effectiveness.
5% – Participate in advising and mentoring students, including office hours, record‑keeping, and minor administrative tasks such as grading.
Qualifications- Master’s degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science (or a related field) is required.
- PhD or terminal degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field.
- At least five years of professional experience and certifications.
- Teaching experience at the college or university level, a strong commitment to undergraduate education, equity, and service to students.

Pay MethodSalary is commensurate with skills, education, and experience. Full‑time salary ranges are recommended; part‑time rates are proportional to teaching load.
