Responsibilities:- Perform commissioning activities and optimize building energy systems.
- Lead on‑site commissioning investigations and troubleshoot system performance issues.
- Provide MEP technical guidance throughout the design and construction phases.
- Support energy audits, feasibility studies, and system optimization initiatives.
- Serve as a technical liaison between engineers, contractors, and building owners to ensure alignment, quality, and performance.
- Participate in industry engagement, professional development, and continuing education activities.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of internal standards, processes, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon, or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Minimum of six years of experience in MEP system design, commissioning, or related consulting work
- Proven experience with HVAC and central plant systems; healthcare facility experience is highly desirable
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to make sound, timely decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client‑facing experience
- Ability to evaluate concepts and systems with accuracy and insight
- Demonstrates accountability, follow‑through, and resilience
- Able to bring clarity to complex or ambiguous situations by linking technical details to practical outcomes
- Effectively balances quality, schedule, and client expectations through sound professional judgment
