Lonza has an opening for an experienced Process Equipment Manager to join our Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operations team in Bend, Oregon. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers focused on ensuring the technical capability, qualification, and operational readiness of manufacturing equipment and systems that support the site’s product portfolio. - Lead and develop a team of engineers to ensure equipment readiness and reliability
- Manage commissioning and qualification projects for manufacturing equipment
- Oversee equipment design, modification, and compliance with GMP standards
- Collaborate with process, operations, and quality teams to enable efficient production
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for equipment performance and reliability
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for manufacturing systems
- Support regulatory inspections and client audits as the equipment SME
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred)
- Extensive experience in pharmaceutical equipment engineering or technical operations
- Knowledge of equipment design, qualification, and manufacturing support
- Experience with commissioning, qualification, and validation processes
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional projects
- Experience supporting regulatory inspections and audits preferred
- GMP Manufacturing experience preferred
