Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Bend, OR 97701
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift – 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Job Responsibilities:- Deliver radiation therapy treatments to adult and geriatric patients.
- Administer and monitor treatments including:
- External Beam Therapy
- IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy)
- Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)
- Respiratory Gating
- Prophylactic treatments
- Prostate cancer treatments with seeds/fiducials
- Treat patients with conditions including:
- Benign Brain Tumors
- Hodgkin’s and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
- Kidney, Pancreatic, and Testicular cancers
- Leukemia
- Superior Vena Cava syndrome
- Gynecomastia
- Keloids
- Heterotopic bone conditions
- Operate and deliver treatment using:
- Elekta Versa HD
- True Beam
- HexaPOD
- ARIA
- Halcyon
- Brain Lab
- Perform chart checks and ensure accurate documentation.
- Educate patients and families regarding radiation therapy procedures and safety.
- Maintain radiation safety standards and adhere to isolation precautions/PPE protocols.
- Complete billing for treatment types and devices.
- Utilize lift and transfer devices as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotation (standby; may be required to stay longer).
- Float within scope to meet facility needs if required.
- Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience (3–5 years preferred).
- ARRT (T) certification (required).
- BLS certification (required).
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices.
- Experience with IMRT, SRS, respiratory gating, and external beam therapy.
- Ability to perform independent chart checks and treatment verification.
- Proficiency operating advanced radiation therapy equipment (Elekta Versa HD, True Beam, ARIA, etc.).
- Ability to work with adult and geriatric populations.
- Must reside outside 75-mile radius (locals not accepted; proof of address required).
- Maximum 7 total RTO days allowed during 13-week assignment.
- Two professional references from positions held within the last year (including one manager reference).
- No 30+ day employment gaps.
- Complete 7 years of work history (8/2015–present), including all employment, schooling, PTO, or leave.
- Provide full educational details (degree type, area of study, institution city/state).
- Pending state license accepted on a case-by-case basis.
- Traveler must provide copies of all certifications at submission.
- 3–5 years of Radiation Therapist experience.
- EPIC charting experience (strongly preferred).
- Experience with Halcyon and Brain Lab systems.
- Previous travel experience (first-time travelers considered).
