Position: X-Ray Tech - Imaging (Annual Bonus up to $25,000)

Responsibilities
  • Perform X‑Ray examinations requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning, X‑Ray protocols, and equipment to produce optimum diagnostic images.
  • Follow departmental protocol for procedures unless specified otherwise by the Radiologist.
  • Produce high‑quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
  • Assume accountability for managing delivery of care and patient safety.
  • Communicate with attending Radiologist and verify provider orders.
  • Obtain and document patient history and relevant information.
  • Ensure X‑Ray room cleanliness after exam and procedure.
  • Adhere to infection control standards specific to patient care.
  • Prioritize and organize work assignments and adjust priorities based on changing situations.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.
  • Operate X‑Ray and medical imaging equipment properly and safely.
  • Experience with power injectors preferred.
  • Demonstrate awareness of radiation safety procedures for self and others.
  • Prepare and assist in the administration of contrast materials.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and compliance of safety, OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform daily, monthly, semi‑annual, and annual quality control.
  • Use problem‑solving, critical thinking and priority‑setting skills.
  • Maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attend department meetings.
  • Perform other job duties as required.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years' experience required.
  • Graduated from an accredited radiology program.
  • Licensed by the Oregon State Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • IV certification preferred.
  • Maintain current knowledge of RIS and PACS computer systems.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Advanced computer skills including email, Microsoft applications and ability to comprehend and utilize electronic medical record systems, RIS and PACS systems.
