Position SummaryHousekeeping is vital for establishing the community’s reputation for quality as well as for promoting the safety, health, comfort, and sense of well-being for residents, visitors, and staff. Brightwater Senior Living maintains an emphasis on the highest standards in effective and efficient housekeeping methods. Housekeepers will be expected to clean resident suites and community common areas, while maintaining and completing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain resident, employee, and community information in strict confidence (with community management or other employees as necessary).
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting/polishing and sanitizing.
- Clean resident suites and common areas according to schedule.
- Launder resident linens and towels.
- Ensure all resident suites are cared for and inspected according to standards.
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies.
- Notify management of any damages, deficits and disturbances.
- Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate.
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company‑related practices.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Meet state or provincial health related requirements.
