Oregon - Licensed Crisis Intervention Specialist
A Crisis Intervention Specialist at Charlie Health plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and stability of our clients during acute mental health crises. The role involves immediate screening and intervention when clients exhibit severe emotional distress or harmful behaviors, collaborating with the clinical team to assess risk, develop intervention plans, de‑escalate dysregulated clients, and connect patients with resources to facilitate recovery within the IOP setting.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor crisis queues for clients receiving individual therapy, family therapy, or group sessions.
- Respond to inbound crisis calls providing real‑time risk assessment, de‑escalation, and safety planning.
- Screen risk and collaborate on stabilization planning for clients at risk of harm to themselves or others.
- Complete all required documentation in alignment with compliance standards and best practices.
- Serve as key point of contact for crisis triage during client group sessions, in collaboration with Senior Care Coaches and Care Coaches.
- Conduct case consults with Care Team members as needed.
- Support Care Team members (Primary Therapists, Care Coaches, Group Facilitators, etc.) regarding the client’s care.
- Perform other care coordination tasks as needed.
- Complete other tasks and duties assigned by the Director of Crisis Response and Prevention or the Chief Clinical Officer.
- Independently licensed clinician.
- Previous experience in crisis preferred.
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per week with flexibility to meet team and client needs.
- Motivated individual passionate about mental health, able to perform in a high‑paced environment, and eager to play a formative role in shaping a growing business.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, familiarity with cloud‑based communication tools (Gmail, Slack, Dropbox, Zoom, EMR).
