Full‑time, Day shift. Sign‑on bonus of $5,000 and relocation assistance available. Pay range: $44,010 - $66,020.
Schedule:
7:30a.m. – 6p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday.
Position
:
Occupational Therapist.
Reports to:
Rehabilitation Supervisor or Manager. Department:
Rehabilitation.
- Adhere to Oregon State Occupational Therapy Licensing Board requirements.
- Evaluate and provide occupational therapy services to achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide staff consultation and training.
- Offer community resource knowledge and referral services.
- Provide occupational therapy services to other hospital service areas.
- Drive the Rehabilitation van when required, meeting SCHS vehicle policy requirements.
- Function as a member of the Interdisciplinary Care Team to ensure effective and efficient patient care.
- Participate in clinical care conferences.
- Gather data and document information accurately and timely, complying with departmental and professional regulations.
- Facilitate patient and family learning throughout the continuum of care.
- Reinforce patient continued healthcare through teaching and/or referral to community agencies.
- Support the organization’s vision, mission, values, and Lean principles.
- Maintain a safe environment for caregivers, patients, and guests.
- Conduct all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Deliver customer service and patient care in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
- Perform additional duties of similar complexity as required or assigned.
- Education
:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association. - Licensure
:
Must hold licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the Oregon State Board of Health. - Valid Oregon driver’s license and ability to meet St. Charles Health System driving requirements.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification.
- Experience
:
At least one year of experience with therapy procedures, current orthopedic and neurological follow‑up procedures, and rehabilitation practices. - Prior occupational therapy experience in a hospital‑based setting is preferred.
- AOTA membership in good standing.
- American Occupational Therapy Association Board Certification in Gerontology (BCG).
- OT Pediatric Certification.
- OT Physical Rehabilitation Certification (BCPR).
- Certified Low Vision Therapist (CLVT).
- Assistive Technology Provider (ATP).
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).
- Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI).
- Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP).
- ADHD‑Certified Rehabilitation Services Provider (ADHD‑RSP).
- PORi Certification for oncology therapy.
- Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist (CSRS).
- Neonatal Therapy Certification (NTCB).
Weekly hours: 40. Caregiver type:
Regular. Shift: First Shift (United States of America). Scheduled Days:
Variable (Monday–Friday). Shift start and end: 7:30a.m. – 6p.m.
