RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST

High Lakes Urgent Care | Bend, Oregon | PRN

THE SCHEDULE

PRN (Per Diem) opportunity with weekend on‑call coverage on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Technologists average approximately two call‑ins per day. This position offers shift pay plus additional compensation for call‑ins, providing an excellent opportunity to supplement your income. Weekend shifts are scheduled on an as‑needed basis and are shared with another technologist, so you are not expected to be on call every weekend.

Additional weekday coverage opportunities may also be available based on department needs.

$43‑45 per hour, commensurate with experience

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As our Radiology Technologist, you'll perform diagnostic X‑ray examinations for patients of all ages in our urgent care setting – working closely with our providers to deliver results efficiently and with care. Day to day, that means:

  • Performing and positioning patients for X‑ray examinations with skill and compassion
  • Delivering preliminary reports and quality images to physicians in a timely manner
  • Maintaining equipment, supplies, and a safe, clean imaging environment
  • Following radiation protection protocols and OSHA guidelines
  • Communicating openly with the care team and educating patients in plain language

Urgent care imaging is varied and keeps you engaged. You'll see a wide range of cases without the intensity of a hospital trauma setting.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Satisfactory completion of ARRT certification examination with current license
  • Current continuing education compliance per ARRT requirements
  • Two years of radiology imaging experience preferred but not required. New grads are welcome.

This role requires regular standing, walking, and use of hands; occasional sitting, stooping, and kneeling. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently. Work takes place in a medical office and exam/procedure room setting.

This position involves potential exposure to blood and body fluids. All employees in this role are offered the Hepatitis‑B vaccination series.

It is our company policy to provide, free of charge, the Hepatitis Vaccine Series for all employees of the company who may be exposed to blood or body fluids.
1. Employees will be counseled upon hire regarding the vaccination series.
2. Upon the signing of the proper form, the employee will begin their series at the next scheduled vaccination day after hiring.
3. The series will be administered by a nurse at a designated clinic or hospital.
4. Documentation will be kept in the employee's permanent Personnel File.
5. When necessary, the Medical Director will determine follow up protocol.
Eligibility for Hepatitis Vaccine will be decided by the employee's supervisor based on their possible exposure to blood or body fluids during job performance, such as (but not limited to):
Phlebotomy, Sample handling, Testing, Courier of Specimens, Direct patient contact/care, Janitorial Services.
