Speech Therapist

Role Overview:

The Speech Therapist evaluates and treats residents with speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities, ensuring compliance with regulations.

• Develops and administers medically prescribed speech therapy treatments for communication and swallowing issues.
• Evaluates speech, language, and cognitive skills considering medical, social, and psychological factors.
• Reviews referrals, physician's orders, and patient records to determine appropriate therapy plans.
• Performs initial evaluations and documents assessments, including OASIS assessments.
• Creates and implements personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and caregivers.
• Conducts rehabilitative therapies to improve communication efficiency, addressing various etiologies.
• Performs additional duties as needed.

• Graduate of an accredited speech pathology program.
• Licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the relevant state board or accrediting body.
