American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring ARRT certification and 1+ year of experience.
Details- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit supporting IC, IR, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro specialties
- Daily caseload of approximately 15 cases per department
- Perform structural heart procedures such as TAVR, Mitraclip, and Watchman alongside the in-house cath lab team
- Utilize Philips imaging systems, Philips Xper hemo system, Philips and Boston IVUS/IFR/FFR, OCT, Roto, Penumbra, Angiojet, Jetstream, EKOS, and Shockwave equipment
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Weeknight and weekend call required with a 2-hour callback minimum
- On-call requirement of 8 call days within a 4-week period
- One call weekend every 3-5 weeks (Friday-Monday), with 24-hour on-call coverage on Saturday and Sunday
- May float within the cath lab unit to meet facility needs, but not to sister facilities
- Uses electronic charting system
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- ARRT certification required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- State license required if applicable
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations
- Skilled in cardiac implant closure device placement and cardiac stent placement
- Experience with IABP placement/removal and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Proficiency in percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA)
- Experience with rotablator atherectomy procedures
- Skilled in scrub procedures and maintaining a sterile field
- Ability to perform equipment set-up and act as room circulator
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, infection control, and sterile technique
- Responsibilities include recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias and maintaining sterile technique during procedures
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Facility will attempt to maintain a consistent block schedule where possible
- RTO restrictions limit time off requests to 7 days
- Local candidates are not accepted within 75 miles of the facility
- Candidates with a pending state license may be considered
