Bend Mental Wellness is seeking a Registered LPC Associate in Oregon to join our small, supportive team. This role offers the chance to earn licensure hours while gaining experience in building a private practice. You can live and work anywhere in Oregon and choose your preferred format—in-person, hybrid, or fully online (in-person sessions can take place anywhere in the state, not just Central Oregon).
We offer mentorship, flexibility, and the opportunity to grow both clinically and professionally. We’re seeking an associate who is eager to grow in two key areas:
- Developing clinical expertise and becoming a highly skilled therapist.
- Learning the business side of private practice to build long-term career independence.
At Bend Mental Wellness, we value authenticity, community, humor, deep thinking, curiosity, hard work, and creating a sustainable practice. We offer a balance of independence and support, providing both clinical supervision and hands‑on business mentorship. Our goal is that by the time you’re fully licensed, you’ll have the confidence, knowledge, and experience to step fully into your own private practice.
Therapist Responsibilities:- Build positive, trusting relationships with clients.
- Diagnose and treat mental health concerns.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs.
- Provide ongoing counseling, assessment, and treatment adjustments.
- Engage family members in the therapeutic process when appropriate.
- Refer clients to outside specialists or agencies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and thorough client records.
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical guidelines at all times.
- Contribute to the practice by assisting with related tasks as needed.
- Work with clients to onboard, schedule, and maintain professional and timely communication.
- Flexible scheduling – set your own hours.
- The option to work virtually and/or in person.
- A 1099 contractor position, with guidance on managing taxes and bookkeeping.
- Full billing and invoicing support—Bend Mental Wellness handles all billing, and associates receive a fair percentage of the collected fees.
- A built-in referral stream to help grow your caseload.
- Ongoing clinical supervision and business mentorship to prepare you for private practice ownership.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and work with diverse clients.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively.
- Compassionate, ethical, and committed to professional growth.
- Interest in learning the business aspects of running a private counseling practice.
- Your past professional and life experiences have shaped your growth and wisdom, allowing you to support patients from diverse backgrounds with empathy and understanding.
- Must practice counseling in the state of Oregon.
- Master’s degree in counseling (or expected graduation soon).
- Will be a Registered Associate LPC, per the Oregon State Board of Licensed Counselors and Therapists, by the start date of employment.
