** The St. Charles Health System Pharmacy provides a broad range of hospital and outpatient pharmaceutical care services to deliver high quality, effective, safe, reliable, and affordable medication therapy for our patients.

* POSITION OVERVIEW:

** The
** Community Pharmacy Operations Manager
** is responsible for all aspects of St. Charles Community pharmacy services; including maintaining standards for operational excellence and regulatory compliance. This position directly manages assigned caregivers.
** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
** Develops and executes the strategic plan for the Community Pharmacy enterprise.

Develops business growth through physician outreach, referrals, new pharmacy services, payor opportunities, clinic partnerships, and central fill utilization.

Manages and supports the Pharmacists-in-Charge at Community Pharmacy locations.

Ensures compliance with regulatory agency standards for Medication Management as it pertains to drug procurement, storage, preparation, and distribution.

Assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of high-quality pharmaceutical care, maintaining compliance with pertinent laws and regulations. Collaborates with other leaders to ensure system alignment.

Establishes systems to prevent, monitor, respond to and report drug diversion.

Establishes and continuously improves upon systems to achieve medication safety and quality outcomes.

Manages the resources necessary to support the successful operations of community pharmacy services.

Mentors caregivers and participates in leadership development.

Responsible for budget development, regular monitoring, accountability, capital planning, revenue optimization, and meeting all operational targets for areas within span of control.

Creates and optimizes system workflows, standard work, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Hires, directs, coaches and monitors the performance of all direct reports, to develop and maintain a high-performance team that meets organizational and department goals.

Monitors and ensures all direct reports are current with compliance and safety requirements. Implements and manages all organizational safety directives and goals.

Provides and oversees team’s delivery of customer service in a manner that promotes goodwill, is timely, efficient, and accurate.

Collaborates with teams to review processes and identify/implement opportunities for improvements, applying Lean principles, concepts and tools.

Supports the vision, mission and values of the organization in all respects.

Supports Lean principles of continuous improvement with energy and enthusiasm, functioning as a champion of change.

Provides and maintains a safe environment for caregivers, patients and guests.

Conducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
