The Housekeeping Supervisor is a detail‑oriented, hands‑on leadership role responsible for supporting the daily operation, quality, and administration of housekeeping services at Trailhead Lodge. Reporting directly to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, this position plays a critical role in delivering consistent cleanliness standards, efficient room turnover, and a welcoming guest experience at a year‑round hospitality property.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise day‑to‑day housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas consistently meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Conduct routine room inspections and public‑space walkthroughs to verify quality, completeness, and adherence to brand expectations.
- Coordinate daily room status with Guest Experience and Facilities teams to support efficient room readiness and turnover.
- Assist with resolving housekeeping‑related guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Support seasonal deep‑cleaning initiatives and special projects as assigned.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and conduct training of Lodge Services / Housekeeping Attendants.
- Prepare and manage daily and weekly housekeeping schedules aligned with occupancy, arrivals, departures, and staffing levels.
- Assign daily work areas and priorities, monitor productivity and labor utilization, adjusting assignments as needed.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to reinforce performance expectations and service standards.
- Escalate performance, attendance, or conduct concerns to the Facilities Maintenance Manager as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate housekeeping documentation, including room inspection logs, task lists, and daily production records.
- Track housekeeping supplies, linens, and amenities; communicate restocking needs and usage trends.
- Support payroll accuracy by verifying timekeeping records and schedules.
- Assist with maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
- Utilize property management and housekeeping systems to update room status and communicate completion.
- Collaborate closely with the Guest Experience Manager, Night Audit, and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations and minimal guest disruption.
- Support next‑day arrival readiness by prioritizing rooms based on arrivals, early check‑ins, and special requests.
- Maintain a professional, guest‑aware presence in public or guest‑facing areas.
- Reinforce a hospitality mindset within the housekeeping team, connecting room quality to the overall guest experience.
- Provide operational support to Guest Experience and Facilities teams during high‑volume periods or staffing gaps.
- Assist with coordinating housekeeping response to maintenance issues that impact room readiness.
- Support training and onboarding efforts to foster consistency and shared ownership of service standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2‑3+ years of housekeeping or lodging operations experience preferred; prior supervisory experience a plus.
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and administrative skills.
- Familiarity with hotel cleanliness standards, room inspections, and service sequencing.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using housekeeping or property management systems to update room status.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Proficiency with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) (e.g., Stay N Touch, Cloudbeds, Roommaster, Maestro, Mews, or similar).
- As needed to fulfill the job scope.
- Must be able to shovel snow and walk on steep and uneven surfaces.
- Minimum age: 21+.
- Current hiring range: $23‑24/hr (DOE).
