NIGHT AUDITOR

The Night Auditor will manage front‑office operations, maintaining financial records, processing guest reservations, handling payments, and ensuring accurate front‑office accounting.
Essential Functions- Review and analyze all adjustments.
- Thoroughly understand accounting machine for front office.
- Ensure all charges posted to appropriate guest folio or master account.
- Post room tax to each folio or master account.
- Ensure front office charges, miscellaneous charges, and adjustments posted and balanced.
- Ensure all guest charges balanced; run appropriate reports and attach supporting documentation.
- Answer telephone.
- Check guests in and out.
- Attend mandatory meetings.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor, including cross training.
- Maintain regular, reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Treat others with respect and behave positively to encourage teamwork.
- Constantly standing at the front desk on tile or carpet.
- Constant repetitive motions of stooping, twisting, and crouching.
- Lifting/carrying average weight frequently 5 lbs., maximum occasionally 20 lbs.
- Pushing/pulling average weight frequently 5 lbs., maximum occasionally 20 lbs.
- Exposure to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, and noise.
- Must adhere to hotel safety standards and procedures.
- Exposure to computer printer and telephone noise.
- Balance and account for all daily cash and charge transactions.
- Communicate effectively both written and verbal with the public and other team members.
- Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while improving operational standards.
- Provide prompt, courteous service to guests.
- Manage time effectively.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Prior cash handling experience and two years customer service experience preferred.
- Hotel experience helpful.
- Valid Driver License with an acceptable driving record may be required.
- Experience working with computers and operating keyboards.
- Must pass criminal background check.
