About

the Role

As a Title Officer II, you’ll take the lead in conducting advanced title examinations, resolving complex issues, and producing highly accurate title reports and policies. You’ll also mentor junior staff and help shape the quality and efficiency of our title operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct detailed examinations of property titles to identify defects and encumbrances.
  • Analyze legal documents including deeds, liens, easements, judgments, trusts, and contracts.
  • Handle complex title orders including commercial, default, and REO.
  • Plot and interpret all types of legal descriptions (lot/block, sectional, metes and bounds).
  • Navigate and interpret back plant archives across multiple counties.
  • Prepare and record documents with county clerks as needed.
  • Resolve title issues and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Mentor and support junior title officers and assistants.
  • Participate in quality control reviews and process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide timely, professional responses to complex inquiries.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–3 years of progressive experience in escrow, title, or real estate.
  • At least 2 years as a Title Assistant and/or Title Officer.
  • Deep knowledge of title plant systems, tax records, and title insurance procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and title/escrow software systems.
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
