Job Title: Property Manager
Salary: $78,000 to $85,000 per year

The property manager is responsible for the overall operations of the property. This includes ensuring efficient operations, overseeing supplier contracts, maintenance, lease administration, and monthly reporting. This position also creates a positive experience for the residents, associates, and clients.
- Manage day-to-day operations, resident satisfaction, retention, full resident lifecycle activities (lease administration, rent collection, delinquency management), property P&L, and marketing in accordance with company standards.
- Meet client expectations and provide an excellent customer service experience.
- Recruit, interview, provide feedback, and hire staff.
- Create a climate where associates strive for excellence by leading, communicating a shared vision, and providing coaching and development.
- Execute the strategic marketing plan to attract and retain residents.
- Understand operations guidelines established within the property management agreement.
- Respond to resident complaints and serve as liaison to the corporate office regarding maintenance and enforcement of landlord rules.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, publication review, and personal networking.
- Organize and implement site disaster and emergency evacuation plans.
- Manage safety records, loss claims, and risk management initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two to three years of property management experience required.
- One to two years of direct management experience required.
- Knowledge of resident rental lifecycle activities required.
- Real estate license preferred or may be required in some locations.
- Knowledge of preferred.
- Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or equivalent system preferred.
- Very strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with all levels.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Sensitivity to confidential matters required.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to relay technical concerns with detail, quickly and accurately.
- English reading, writing, comprehension, and conversation skills.
- Proficiency with office equipment (telephone, fax, printer, copier, key track system).
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required.
