Location and Relocation

The actual location of this job is in Bend, Oregon (USA). Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed. This is a fully site-based role.

This is a unique leadership opportunity to drive innovation in bioenhancement and drug delivery technologies. You will shape strategy, lead global R&D initiatives, and influence the development of next‑generation pharmaceutical solutions. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

• Lead all site R&D activities and act as the accountable leader for the Bioenhancement Center of Excellence
• Define and execute R&D strategy aligned with business and global innovation priorities
• Represent the site on the global R&D Leadership Team and influence strategic direction
• Oversee the full innovation pipeline, including prioritization, governance, and resource planning
• Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing R&D organization
• Engage with customers, partners, and the scientific community as a thought leader
• Drive innovation and service development in partnership with commercial and marketing teams

• Advanced degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in bioenhancement, drug delivery, or related R&D environments
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary R&D teams and global innovation programs
• Strong scientific expertise in pharmaceutical development and bioenhancement technologies
• Experience aligning local execution with global strategy and driving transformation
• Business mindset with experience in prioritization, risk management, and service development
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across senior and external audiences
