Packaging Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Packaging Assistant to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in packaging operations within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily packaging operations, including removing cans from the labeler and placing them back on the can line
  • Handle 6‑packs from the Pak Tech machine, ensuring proper placement and handling
  • Load cases and boxes onto pallets, ensuring accurate stacking and organization
  • Support the cleaning and washing of kegs to maintain hygiene standards
  • Help keep the packaging area clean, organized, and safe
  • Assist with the operation of the Comac racking machine as needed
  • Follow safety protocols and company policies at all times
Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience is not required; training will be provided

Requirements ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS - PACKAGING ASSISTANT (Performed with or without reasonable accommodation)
  • Proficient in areas of packaging, racking and keg washing as mentioned above.
  • Mechanical skills and problem-solving capabilities are a plus.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to multitask are essential.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - PACKAGING ASSISTANT
  • High School Diploma or GED a plus
  • Experience in packaging operations is a plus

  • Experience with Orchestrated Beer or an SAP business platform is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - PACKAGING ASSISTANT
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
  • While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)
  • Must be able to work in hot, cold, and wet environments
  • Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to use a ladder, i.e., work at heights of 10+’ above grade
