Ballard’s Manufacturing Department has openings for Production Technician to join the Buy America team in Bend, Oregon. This role will have responsibility for the assembly and testing of our state‑of‑the‑art fuel cell modules at our new facility. Additional responsibilities include assisting with part inspection, maintaining tool calibration, and production records. Work with engineering supporting the troubleshooting systems and process improvement activities.
Responsibilities- Assembly and test of electromechanical assemblies for fuel cell systems.
- Operation of material handling systems, assembly carts, pallet jacks, and cranes.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Interface with document control and ERP systems.
- Use of inspection equipment.
- Routine maintenance of production equipment.
- Collect data, organize and maintain records.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards and raise issues when appropriate.
- 1-3 years of experience in a production environment.
- High school diploma.
- Post‑secondary technical education/military training is an asset.
- Proficient mechanical skills.
- Computer and mathematical literacy.
- Work in a team environment.
- Interfacing with ERP and data collection systems.
- Travel to Canada for periodic training.
- Able to follow electronic and written work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Pay rate: $21 per hour (+10% target annual bonus)
Consistent 40‑hour/week shifts:
Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm
