Deschutes County is seeking a Hazardous Waste Technician to inspect incoming waste for hazardous materials, separate and arrange disposal or recycling, and ensure safe handling per regulations. This role performs waste screening, site setup, basic maintenance, and proper storage of hazardous material while coordinating with teams and the public.
You will work outdoors and indoors in varied conditions, lift up to 50 lbs, and must obtain OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER within 60 days.
