YOU'LL DO

We are seeking an Experienced Paint Detailer with color sanding experience to join our team and support the final finishing of completed aircraft. This is a hands-on role focused on achieving a high-quality, show-level finish through detailed paint correction, color sanding, polishing, and buffing. The ideal candidate will have experience in a collision shop, professional detailing environment, restoration shop, or similar setting and take pride in producing flawless finishes.

You should be comfortable working with freshly painted surfaces, identifying imperfections, and using the proper techniques to correct them with minimal supervision. This is a unique opportunity to apply your detailing and paint-finishing skills to completed aircraft rather than traditional automotive production work.

  • Perform machine and hand polishing using appropriate compounds, pads, and techniques
  • Safely work around fresh paint and clear coat without damaging finished surfaces
  • Inspect surfaces under appropriate lighting to identify imperfections and ensure consistent quality
  • Perform detailed masking and protection of surrounding surfaces when required
  • Assist with final detailing and preparation of aircraft prior to delivery
  • Maintain and properly care for polishing machines, sanding equipment, tools, and supplies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Accurately complete required documentation and follow work instructions
  • Work independently while meeting quality, safety, and schedule expectations
  • Communicate effectively with painters, technicians, and other team members
  • Support occasional overtime to meet project deadlines

  • Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of assigned work
  • Ability to follow instructions and established quality and safety procedures
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean work environment
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the organization
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
