MARKETING MANAGER

Compass Commercial Real Estate Services | Bend, Oregon

Are you a marketing leader who can build and own a department—not just execute campaigns, but set priorities, protect a brand, lead a team, and use AI to deliver like a department twice your size? Do you want to shape the marketing function for one of Oregon’s premier commercial real estate firms as it expands into new regions? If yes, please read on.

THE ROLE

This is a build-and-own role. As our Marketing Manager, you’ll take the reins of a respected commercial real estate brand and take the marketing department to the next level. You’ll lead a current two-person team—yourself and a Communications Specialist—leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve marketing efficiency, content creation, and business processes. As the company grows, you’ll have the opportunity to build and lead a larger team.

You’ll be responsible for brand strategy, broker support, marketing systems, CRM oversight, digital marketing, advertising, events, and budget management. You’ll inherit systems mid-transition and a calendar that doesn’t pause. If building while flying energizes you, you’ll thrive here. Reports to the President.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

You’re equal parts strategist and hands‑on producer—comfortable setting a quarterly marketing plan in the morning and proofing a listing flyer in the afternoon. You know how to manage competing priorities across a team of brokers who all need support at once, and you do it with strong systems, clear communication, and good judgment. You’ll also support a team of property managers and the construction department with their marketing needs.

You’re fluent in brand, digital, CRM, and content. You actively use AI tools to draft content, build automations, accelerate production, and free your team for higher‑value work—not as a novelty, but as a core part of how you operate. You mentor your team, hold vendors accountable, and take pride in work that’s polished, on‑brand, and on time.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage the marketing team, providing clear direction, mentorship, budget management and accountability—with the leadership capacity to grow the department as the company scales.
  • Maintain and enforce brand standards and strategy across all materials, platforms, signage, advertising, and communications.
  • Apply AI tools and emerging technologies to systematize workflows, increase output, and build a department that runs on documented processes rather than institutional memory.
  • Oversee property marketing workflows for ~19 brokers: listing flyers, offering memorandums, proposals, email campaigns, signs, maps, and listing platform accuracy (CoStar, Loop Net, CREXi, Biz Buy Sell ). Provide marketing support to the property management and construction services divisions.
  • Manage CRM strategy and operations (Keap), including data health, segmentation, email campaigns, automations, and lead workflows.
  • Oversee website strategy, content, SEO, analytics, and digital marketing across social media, blog, newsletter, and video.
  • Manage advertising, vendor relationships, and marketing budget.
  • Support company events, broker events, client appreciation events, and community initiatives including Compass Cares.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

5+ years of progressive marketing management experience, including leading teams and initiatives. Experience managing project workflows, digital marketing, CRM platforms, email marketing, marketing analytics, and vendor relationships. Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator). Strong writing, editing, communication, and project management skills.

Strongly Preferred:
Commercial real estate, real estate, AEC, or professional services industry experience. Experience with Trello, Canva, Word Press, Keap, Google Analytics, CoStar, Loop Net, or CREXi. Event planning and community engagement experience. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
