Greenlight America and Greenlight Action are seeking a contracted organizer or consultant to mobilize supporters for clean energy campaigns in the Salem and Portland area, including Marion, Linn, and Washington counties. The organizer must be based in Salem or Portland or surrounding counties and work to mobilize grassroots supporters and build local momentum in advance of critical campaign milestones.

Approximately 20 hours per week. You will determine the required effort to meet the objectives.
Invoices will be submitted monthly.
Scope of Work Greenlight America (c3)The organizer will lead education and advocacy campaigns on local utility‑scale clean energy policy and projects in Marion, Linn, and Washington counties.
Deliverables – c3- Develop and lead educational programs and materials in coordination with the regional campaign manager.
- Collaborate with partners, stakeholders and experts to design and lead community outreach and education programs and events.
- Support additional public education tactics such as social media campaigns, media outreach, speaking at community meetings, and other tactics as determined in planning.
- Lead outreach and turnout for events, including phone and text banking.
- Ensure consistent communication with the Greenlight America team and compliance with C3 requirements.
The organizer will provide local advocacy and mobilization for Greenlight Action.
Deliverables – c4- Develop and execute campaign plans in coordination with the campaign manager.
- Coordinate mobilization goals for each campaign milestone with the campaign manager.
- Mobilize supporters to attend and speak at public hearings to meet mobilization goals.
- Collect public comments, emails, and letters to decision-makers.
- Support additional tactics such as letters to the editor, petitions, or community meetings as determined in campaign planning.
- Assist with phone banking and other cold outreach engagement.
- Attend critical hearing milestones and other important events.
- Ensure consistent communication with the Greenlight Action team and compliance with C4 requirements.
- Attend weekly calls with Greenlight America and Greenlight Action staff.
- Document key lessons from activities and report back results from events and public hearings.
- Ensure all work complies with 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) requirements in coordination with staff.
- Attend regional coalition meetings as necessary and build relationships with local partners.
Two separate contracts: C3 maximum monthly budget $3,000; C4 maximum monthly budget $2,000; combined maximum monthly budget $5,000.
