We are looking for Labor and Delivery RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Bend, OR. The right RN should have 3 years of recent acute care experience. L&D Travel Nurses provide care and support for women before, during, and after the delivery of a baby. They must ensure that the medical as well as emotional needs of their patients are met at all times throughout the birthing process.
As an L&D RN, you will assist physicians with epidural and pain medication administration, episiotomies, and patient preparation for cesarean deliveries.
- Stay with and monitor the patient throughout labor.
- Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
- Check cervix periodically to monitor progression and lack of dilation.
- Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids expelled before and after the birthing process.
- Aid the physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, and related items.
- Provide immediate care of the newborn.
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- FHM certification
- AWHONN certification
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
Travel Job . Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) and includes a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Posted job title:
