Description:
We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires a full-time commitment for a duration of 8 weeks. The shift will consist of 4 ten-hour days. The nurse will work with adult and geriatric patient populations. Flexibility is needed for on-call coverage and weekend shifts. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:2 during the day and 1:1 ies include providing care for patients undergoing dialysis.
Responsibilities entail monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing treatments. The nurse will perform catheter placements and manage vascular access. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team are essential. Candidates should be familiar with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment. Knowledge of acute kidney injury and chronic outpatient dialysis is crucial. The role may include floating to other inpatient units as required.
Candidates should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care is necessary. The position will involve participation in holiday rotation as needed.
