  • Staffing & Scheduling: Plan daily personnel assignments and monitor task completion.
  • Clinical Flow & Efficiency: Coordinate the seamless flow of patients through pre-op, the procedure room, and recovery. Actively monitor the PMR schedule to communicate and resolve arrivals, cancellations, late starts, or add-on cases.

  • Patient Safety & Positioning: Assist in transporting patients to the procedure room, verify pre-op preparations, and supervise safe, proper patient positioning and aseptic techniques.
  • Environmental Control: Control the general "tone" and traffic of the procedure room, ensuring strict adherence to Infection Control principles and safe maintenance of the physical plant.
  • Admissions & Prep: Provide holistic pre‑procedural preparation, coordinate/review required pre‑operative lab work, and address patient/family psychosocial and educational needs.
  • Stabilization & Recovery: Oversee post‑procedure stabilization and prepare patients holistically for a safe return to their home environment.
  • Discharge & Follow‑Up: Act as the discharge nurse by providing thorough discharge education. Conduct pre‑ and post‑procedure phone calls to assess patient status and report findings to physicians.
4. Moderate Sedation Administration
