Landscape Construction Crew Member

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00/hour D.O.E.

Description: Rexius' Bend location is looking for Crew members to work in a fast-paced team environment, following the instructions of leadership to provide all essential and requested landscape maintenance to our clients.

• Communicate with team members and customers effectively and efficiently to achieve desired outcomes.
• Provide high attention to detail when weeding beds.
• Apply appropriate pruning practices on specific shrubs.
• Mow lawns with both riding mowers and push mowers.
• Travel with crew leader to jobsites.
• Follow instructions provided by Manager and Crew Lead.
• Act as an ambassador for Rexius to the public.
• Maintain reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance.

• Follow all OSHA regulations that pertain to your job.
• Report any work hazards to your lead, supervisor, or manager immediately.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed for the activities that will be assigned to you.
• Participate in all safety protocols and training procedures that are relevant to your position.
• Report and document all work related job injuries and accidents on Rexius provided form.
• Attend and participate in annual safety training.

• Knowledge of the principals of horticulture; including planting, pruning, identification of plants vs. weeds and fertilization
• Ability to regularly operate machinery and hand tools for mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, shearing, blowing
• Knowledge of OR-OSHA regulations and changes.
• Ability to speak basic conversational English when speaking to clients.

• Preferred Minimum of 1-year relevant experience in the Landscape profession
• Preferred High School Education or equivalent

• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Hand-eye coordination and hand, arm, and finger mobility for detailed work with objects.
• Active movement throughout the day: sitting, walking, standing, squatting, bending, stooping, reaching, etc. (not a sedentary position).
• Vision: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Hearing: able to satisfactorily communicate with customers, owners, and other staff members to ensure that verbal communication is clearly understood, particularly during emergency situations.
• Finger dexterity is needed to operate machinery and reload string trimmers
• Work 8 to 10 hours per day in all weather conditions.
• Exposure to moderate noise levels. Hearing protection is provided and must be used.
• Exposure to hectic, fast-paced, high anxiety environments.
