As our Veterinary Dentist, you will lead the dental and oral surgery service, working alongside a team of specialists and general practitioners. You’ll diagnose and treat a wide range of oral health conditions in small animals, perform advanced dental procedures, and educate pet owners and staff on best practices in veterinary oral health.
This position can work on a FT or PT basis depending on applicant availability. We are hoping for at least 2-3 days/week of availability.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive oral exams, dental radiography, and advanced dental procedures (e.g., root canals, extractions, oral surgery)
- Collaborate with internal medicine, surgery, and emergency teams for integrated patient care
- Maintain accurate medical records and communicate clearly with clients and referring veterinarians
- Mentor and train veterinary technicians and support staff in dental procedures and protocols
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary dentistry through continuing education
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Board certification (AVDC) or completion of a veterinary dentistry residency program
- Valid Oregon veterinary license
