Teufel Landscape is looking for an experienced and licensed Spray Technician to join our Oregon Maintenance Division. This role is responsible for identifying turf and ornamental plant health issues and safely applying pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers, and other treatments across commercial landscape properties throughout the Portland metro area.

The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, safety-focused, and takes pride in helping clients maintain healthy, attractive landscapes while complying with all state and federal regulations.

What You'll Do
  • Apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers, and other landscape treatments in accordance with label requirements and Oregon regulations.
  • Inspect commercial landscape sites to identify weeds, pests, disease pressure, and turf or plant health concerns.
  • Develop treatment recommendations for turf, ornamental plants, shrubs, and trees.
  • Maintain accurate application records and required regulatory documentation.
  • Follow all company, state, and federal safety standards related to chemical handling, storage, transportation, and application.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance on spray equipment.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, crew leaders, production managers, and account managers regarding site conditions and recommendations.
  • Assist with training and promoting safe pesticide practices throughout the division.
  • Support seasonal maintenance operations as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Oregon Commercial Pesticide Applicator License with:
    • Laws & Safety
    • Ornamental & Turf
  • Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) practices.
  • Understanding of turf, ornamental plant, weed, and disease identification.
  • Ability to interpret pesticide labels and apply products safely and accurately.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
    .
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
  • Previous commercial landscape maintenance experience.
  • Experience operating spray equipment and maintaining chemical inventories.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills. preferred
