Shift leader, Restaurant​/Food Service

Responsibilities

• Coach staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Produce high‑quality food that meets Jersey Mike’s standards.
• Deliver the Jersey Mike’s experience to every customer.
• Handle cash responsibly.
• Complete the Learning Management System training program.
• Develop and mentor team members for career growth.
• Enforce policies and procedures consistently.
• Participate in local and national marketing initiatives.
• Build sales and drive business growth.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation throughout the establishment.
• Be certified in all four core restaurant positions.
• Communicate effectively with management and staff.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency in all tasks.
• Move or transport up to 50 lb of equipment and supplies without assistance, unless a medical exemption applies.
• Work 38–40 hours per week and be able to commute to work.
• Lead by example in food quality, customer service, and daily uniform appearance.
• Create food consistently aligned with Jersey Mike’s high‑quality standards.
• Maintain a noticeably cleaner restaurant than competitors.
• Work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑driven environment.
• Multitask and work with a sense of urgency.
• Interface with customers and provide an exceptional experience.
• Demonstrate accountability and integrity.
• Act as a key holder.
• Perform all tasks related to opening and closing the store.
• Bake bread and conduct all preparation tasks.
• Manage and lead a crew of 2 to 5 employees.
• Slice ingredients proficiently.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a quick‑service restaurant (preferred).
• Must be 18 years or older to operate the slicer.
• Food Service Safe certification (Serve Safe or equivalent).
• Reliable transportation.
