Join the Dining Services team at OSU-Cascades in Bend, Oregon! We operate The Beaver Dam, our campus dining hall serving students, faculty, staff, and the community;
Study Grounds, our campus coffee shop; and EDGE Catering, supporting events across campus. Most student employees begin in The Beaver Dam, where you’ll learn the fundamentals of food service while building skills in customer service, teamwork, food preparation, and working in a fast-paced environment. As you gain experience, you may have opportunities to cross-train in Study Grounds or assist with EDGE Catering, and Study Grounds baristas are selected from our Beaver Dam crew.
We operate as one team, and wherever you’re scheduled, you’ll support each other across all three areas.
We know you’re a student first. You’ll work 10–24 hours per week on a schedule that’s as consistent as we can make it, always built around your class schedule and medical or religious obligations, with our best effort to work around other commitments. Students aren’t required to work during university break periods. Dining Services covers the cost of your Food Handler Card upon hire, provides a work shirt and hat, and offers food and beverage perks for employees.
Hired in fall? You’re on the team for the full academic year (or the remainder of the year if hired later) and returning students don’t need to reapply after summer break.
Whether you’re serving dinner in the Beaver Dam, crafting coffee drinks in Study Grounds, or helping cater a campus event, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive experience for the OSU-Cascades community while gaining practical skills you can take into any future career.
