Role

The Benefits Account Manager supports the sale of and provides service for customers. This role is responsible for changes, updates, and value-added services related to employee benefits. It is not involved in the administration of employee benefits as typically handled by a Human Resources department. This is a full‑time, onsite role. The office location can be found on the company website.

Responsibilities
  • Process policy changes and respond to enquiries with professionalism and timeliness.
  • Answer client questions regarding payments and notices.
  • Process endorsements for clients.
  • Manage a diverse book of house accounts.
  • Cross‑sell additional lines of business to existing customers.
  • Support designated staff.
  • Review and respond to renewal activities.
  • Follow up and see tasks through to completion.
  • Always protect the best interest of both the company and the customer.
Qualifications
  • Experienced in supporting the sale of employee benefits.
  • Strong multi‑tasking ability; can manage different projects and tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Cross‑training opportunities available for life insurance, annuities, and long‑term care.
  • Licensed: current license required.
  • Quick learner; can pick up new things rapidly.
  • Computer literate; ready to use and learn technology across various portals and software programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to speak and write in a clear and calm manner, ensuring customer satisfaction above all.
  • Organization: ability to plan and operate in a well‑organized manner.
  • Team oriented: ability to incorporate well with the existing team, maintaining a positive attitude and good energy in the workplace.
Education and Certification
  • Active license appropriate to the line of business is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
