Summary:

CED is seeking a motivated Sales Representative to join our team. Whether you are starting your sales career or bringing previous customer-facing experience, we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. No electrical industry experience is required.

Through our structured 1-2 year training program, you will gain hands-on experience across every area of our business. Rotations through key departments will build your electrical product knowledge, customer relationship management skills, and B2B sales expertise. As part of our team, you can expect to also assist warehouse operations and customer deliveries. Success in this role requires a willingness to learn and contribute wherever the team needs support.

This experience prepares you for a long-term, high-impact career path with advancement opportunities into Account Management and Outside Sales.

Reports to:

Profit Center Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

+ High School diploma or GED

+ Willingness to assist with warehouse operations, material handling, and deliveries

+ Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

+ Able to lift 40+ lbs. and operate warehouse equipment (training provided)

+ Willingness to complete an employer paid background check and drug screen

+ Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

+ Willingness to work in both office and warehouse environments

+ Self-starter with a positive attitude

+ Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Associate or Bachelor's degree

+ Enjoys collaborating with customers and creative problem solving

+ Experience working toward performance or metric based goals

+ 1-3 years of sales experience in wholesale distribution, retail, customer service, or B2B sales

Working Conditions:

+ Conditions vary based on needed activities and will include warehouse, sales floor, and external environments.

+ Some activities will include lifting (maximum 50 lbs.), sorting, standing, and possible extreme heat/cold conditions.

Essential Job Functions:

Training Timeline:

Warehouse Operations (6 months) - Learn deliveries, inventory, and product handling

Counter Sales (6 months) - Assist walk-in customers, fulfill orders, and provide product support

Inside Sales (8 months) - Quote jobs, coordinate accounts, and support the outside sales team

Operations Training (1 month) - Pricing and margin strategies, purchasing, and vendor trainings

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $20 to $24 hourly.
