New Home Consultant – Job Description

Responsibilities- Manage the new home purchase process from initial customer contact to closing, aiming to create a tickled, delighted and happy customer.
- Engage and establish relationships with visitors to understand their home‑buying needs, utilizing the company’s selling philosophy.
- Self‑generate sales leads through community engagement, realtor partnerships, and proactive prospecting.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of the competitive market, including products, community features, and demographics.
- Provide consistent follow‑through with customers from initial contact to post‑closing, maintaining accurate communication records.
- Participate in sales meetings, neighborhood promotions, and marketing programs.
- Ensure the maintenance of Welcome Home Center models and inventory homes.
- Complete required training and participate in community events and phone banks.
- Process sale agreements and close sales in line with company business plans.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree and real estate license preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in homebuilding or real estate sales preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use sales tracking tools.
- Self‑motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Regular, in‑person attendance at company communities, job sites, and offices during regular work hours is essential. The position involves office/phone work and walking in all weather conditions, uneven surfaces, and to and within homesites. Requires a valid state driver’s license, finger dexterity for operating computer keyboard and telephone equipment, and ability to lift and carry supplies up to 25 pounds.
Compensation & BenefitsBase annual salary range: $33,000–$33,176, adjusted based on qualifications, geographic differentials, and operational considerations. This role may be eligible for bonuses and commissions. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan with a $1 for $1 match up to 5%; paid parental leave; an associate assistance plan; education assistance; up to $30,000 in adoption assistance; up to three weeks of vacation annually;
