Salary: $61,603–$78,403 annually

Position Overview

The Window Contractor Sales person executes all aspects of the sales call process and strategies, facilitating and coordinating business activities of accounts and executing PARR sales initiatives. Their primary focus is supporting the sales team by creating quotes, processing orders, and helping to manage construction schedules.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers.
  • Communicate with a wide number of customers in the Residential Construction industry and help sell and manage the timely flow of building materials to job sites.
  • Expertly use, promote, and facilitate the PARR Bridge Strategy.
  • Proactively set, reach for, and meet (or exceed) personal sales and profit goals.
  • Deepen customer relationships and schedule timely material shipments ensuring account profitability and customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sell based on overall quality, value, and service rather than price.
  • Precisely and efficiently manage time and prioritize workflow in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Communicate with dispatch to avoid over promising deliveries.
  • Send pictures of returns to dispatch with pickup requests.
  • Maintain customer profiles in Outlook or CRM with complete contact information.
  • Follow best practices in order entry, setting up deliveries, and all aspects of the job.
  • Walk customers to products in store and introduce oneself using the customer’s name when possible.
  • Manage open orders to ensure timely invoicing or deletion.
  • Takes action to achieve objectives without waiting for management directives.
  • Use DDMS to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Follow SPC guidelines and proper GP% compliance.
  • Complete POs on time, confirm confirmation, and tie PO to order.
  • Greets walk‑in customers professionally.
  • Answers phone promptly with a professional greeting.
  • Identify customer urgency and complete orders quickly.
  • Learn products and their application for the end user.
  • Confirm customer material needs prior to ordering product.
  • Exceed profitable SPC pricing guidelines.
  • Complete quotes and follow up in a timely manner.
  • Be proactive with customer needs.
  • Maintain a PARR share file for customer plans and take‑offs.
  • Ensure inventory arrives and communicate with customers and dispatch.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2years sales experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in the building materials industry preferred.
  • ClassC driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to operate computer, smartphone, scanner, and related equipment.
  • Typing speed of 30+WPM.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • English language proficiency (speak, write, read).
  • Knowledge of building materials and their uses.
  • Ability to develop relationships that translate into new business.
  • Ability to execute PARR selling strategies and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of PARR purchasing principles, practices, and protocols.
  • Ability to aggressively pursue the company’s best interests when selling.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to daily changing customer needs.
  • Preparation for individual and group sales meetings.
  • Ability to meet or exceed aggressive sales goals.
  • Strong focus, planning, organizational, and time‑management skills.
  • Willingness to share department responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable with protective footwear that is puncture‑ and slip‑resistant.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high level of customer service.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy of company financial information.
  • Willingness to identify and improve processes, tools, or procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, including public speaking to medium‑size groups.
  • Strong planning and time‑management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and as a leader within own sales cohort.

Working Conditions
  • Time split between an office desk and interaction with potential and current customers.
  • Must sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Work indoors in a normal office environment for an entire day.
  • Operate computer and keyboard.
  • Occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50pounds and carry objects over 50feet.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Local and overnight travel may be required.
