Overview
~$3,000/Week + $175/Day Per Diem | Paid Daily Transportation from Elko
We are hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for a 5‑month mining/heavy civil project in Northern Nevada operating on a 6 days on / 1 day off schedule.
This role is well suited for operators based in Elko or the surrounding area, or those open to local arrangements, including nearby campgrounds, while benefiting from paid travel time and a strong daily per diem.
Project & Schedule- Project duration:
Approximately 5 months - Rotation: 6 days on / 1 day off
- Shift length: 12‑hour shifts
- 72+ hours per week typical
- Daily transportation provided from Elko
- 2 hours paid daily travel time
Company accommodations are not provided. Candidates must arrange their own lodging (local housing or nearby campgrounds).
Pay & Per Diem- $35/hour + overtime
- Typical earnings: approximately $3,000 per week, depending on hours worked
- $175 per day per diem (paid for scheduled workdays)
- Paid daily travel time (2 hours per workday)
- Dozers (D6–D10)
- Excavators (20T–90T)
- Rock Trucks (40T–100T)
- Graders (14M–16M)
- 3+ years operating experience in mining or heavy civil environments
- Haul road, pad, or bulk earthworks experience preferred
- MSHA Part 48 (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work a near‑continuous schedule
This role offers steady hours, strong weekly earnings, and daily per diem support—without long rotational commitments.
Pay RangeUSD $35.00 - USD $35.00 /Hr.
